I've enjoyed using Incredimail. It's kind of fun with the smileys, and it USED to have a very nice automatic Junk filter that worked roughly the same way that the one in Outlook 2003 does, moving selected items into the Junk folder without being asked, but not blindly deleting them unasked.

Suddenly they have decided to make the Junk Filter a subscribed service at, get this, $39.95 a year, this in addition to their one time price for their "Premium Edition" version of their core product. I am not a happy camper.

So today I looked at Thunderbird, and at Eudora, and I'm not particularly impressed with either. Does anyone out there know of anything that compares to Incredimail without the guff?
