Shutmaioil.com a new email service - Highly recommendced.

Hi,

Just for readers of this forum before the site gets updated Shutmail.com are offering 3gb accounts with I believe pop/smtp and imap access but I am not sure about the Last three but it is a very good service and highly recommended.

I tested IMAP with this account and it does work. Smtp didn't work for me, but I might have the setting wrong. I was just guessing at the settings. :o One thing I don't like about the account is that there are no filters. Can't even send messages to a specified folder.

SMTP will require smtp authentication and if you are interstwed in flters and such like try http://shutmail.com:2095 as most of the options you want ahould be on there.

That's the url that I have been using. I still can't find any filters. I'm using Squirrel Mail. Now I just checked Horde and NeoMail...can't find them there either. Where? Are there some in the original interface?

You are recommending a brand new service? It may turn out to be a very good service after a time. But right now, nothing is working, no POP3, IMAP, nor webmail access.

buddy,

Squirrelmail has filters. Go to Options > Mail Filters. I am not 100% sure as I cannot log into Shutmail right now to verify. I am logged into another Squirrrelmail interface account, PromptPost, to give you the settings.

I have no problem accessing my mail using webmail or IMAP. I don't have POP3 set up, so can't comment on that.

Thanks for trying to help me here with my question. I have used Squirrel Mail before, specifically Promptpost. Shutmail doesn't have half the options as Promptpost. Here is what I see when I go to Options.

Personal Information
Message Highlighting
Index Order
Display Preferences
Folder Preferences

I see no Mail Filters.

Shutmail has been up and down, mostly down. I don't know if Shutmail is dead, but it is not working now.
