spoofing

Postby 97hills » Fri Aug 19, 2005 11:09 am

Does anyone know of a free service that allows you to spoof email addresses? I know that most squirrelmail services allow you to do this, so any free service that uses squirrelmail should work.

I would like this for purely legal reasons (mostly!). I will not be spamming anyone. It will be for an email address that I would like to send from anywhere (not just my home computer). Obviously there may be some good natured fun between friends (sending friends emails from their own address) but I can't re-iterate enough that this will not be used for spamming (other than having a laugh between friends)

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hmm, I will just say I do want to ensure only this suggestion is used for legal purposes so I will delete this post in 7 days to try and avoid spamemrs gettng hold of it.

What I suggest is you set-up the webmail to state a different from address than the email address you are sneding it from, this can easily be done or when using Outlook express just change the email address in the email address box and login to the smtp server using the correct email address and password.
